Georgina – Principal

Georgina McKinnon is the Principal and Head Tutor of KICH Hypnotherapy Training, which she founded in 2011 in Kent.

As well as running a successful hypnotherapy practice, she also runs online training for qualified therapists, alongside Emma Evans, where she co-writes courses for CPD.

Additionally, Georgina chairs the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, overseeing both the APHP and NRPC, and serves as a Supervisor and Mentor for qualified practitioners.

Georgina has won many awards and is highly recognised in the therapy industry for her contributions to both clients and therapy students.

Emma – Senior Tutor

Emma has been a part of KICH since its inception in Kent, initially starting as a Teaching Assistant before becoming an Assistant Tutor after four years. Now a Senior Tutor with over a decade of experience, Emma conducts both in-person and online training for qualified therapists.

Specialising in Grief and Trauma, she is a successful therapist with a thriving practice and has authored well-regarded hypnotic script books.

In 2021, Emma was appointed Director of the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy and the National Council of Psychotherapists.

Callie Murphy – Classroom Assistant

We were very pleased to welcome our classroom assistant Callie, a previous student of KICH. Callie is an efficient and extremely valuable member of our team.

A working therapist, as well as private practice Callie is working in a business setting where she takes a pastoral care role for the workforce.

She adds value to the classroom by helping students throughout practical work and our tutors with invaluable admin and IT support,  she is always on hand for guidance and support.

Debbie Clay – Former Classroom Assistant

We were very pleased to welcome our classroom assistant Debbie, a previous student of KICH, as a friendly and extremely valuable member of our team.  She worked with us for two years before returning to her own training journey and is now completing her counselling qualification.

She is a highly successful working therapist, working with hypnotherapy in private practice. She previously ran a doggy hotel and is extremely kindhearted.

Paul Miller – Former Classroom Assistant

As we have expanded over the years, we have required more practical help in the classroom to ensure that our excellent standards are maintained. A previous student of KICH, Paul was a valuable member of our team for a number of years.

He is a working therapist, with a special interest in hypnoanalysis.

Lisa-Marie Bearman – Former Classroom Assistant

Former classroom assistant Lisa-Marie was a very valuable member of the team. She was with us for 3 years until client work and charity work took over and she left to expand her career once more. She is in the process of writing a book and continues to be a very busy therapist. 

A previous student of KICH, she has gone on to forge a valuable and varied career! 
She has a passion for helping people with brain cancer and does a lot of work for brain tumour charities such as Brainstrust. 

She is also an animal fanatic and rather interestingly, runs a monkey sanctuary!

At least 3 full day workshops are included in your training

We give you the brilliant opportunity during your training of having 3 master classes with at least 3 guest lecturers, all are specialists in different areas of hypnotherapy and leaders in their respective specialisations. Below are some of the lecturers who have provided us with lectures on various subjects. These master classes include lots of specialist techniques and useful tools for you to use once you are qualified. They also give you a good idea of where you may wish to specialise, after you have set up your own practices.

Kirsty Jordan

Kirsty started her career as a teacher and then trained with KICH to become a qualified Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist, One of her biggest drives after training as a therapist was to be able to help more young people and their families with managing their mental health, after witnessing first hand an increase in mental health needs in the classroom and beyond.

Kirsty now offers training for organisations, tailored to meet their individual needs and ethos, workshops, as well as 1:1 sessions for adults and children focusing on a variety of issues, including anxiety, anger, bad habits, confidence, control issues, grief, motivation, over-thinking, self-esteem and more.

Gavin Bowtell

Gavin is an experienced hypnotherapist running his clinic in Essex and online. 

He is a trainer of EFT and has written his own very comprehensive course that he teaches to people all over the world, and recently brought out a pocket book on the subject. 

We have been fortunate that Gavin has agreed to teach our students about how to work with EFT and he brings his own unique sense of humour to the sessions when he comes in for us.

Peter Moule

Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine & former Chairman of UKCHO Peter is also a Diplomate of our accrediting body the APHP.

His work on Sports Hypnosis, hypnotherapy and psychotherapy has featured in the media many times and he is frequently called in to BBC Essex as an expert in his field. He also work in all areas of hypnotherapy.

Now retired, we were very fortunate to have had Peter as a guest speaker at KICH and many students benefitted from his extensive knowledge. 

Lynda Hudson

Lynda is a child specialist regularly seeing children for help with a wide range of issues. She is the author of a range of books and audio recordings.

Lynda is a well respected authority in this field. She has also been featured on Embarrassing bodies (channel 4) The discovery Channel and did a hypnotherapy phone in on LBC Radio.

Andy Milton

Andy delivers NLP workshops & has a wide reaching repertoire when it comes to various areas, from business coaching, to mentoring, and coaching athletes through their various sporting events.

After emigrating to Spain, Andy remains in contact with KICH and is hoping to make a trip back to teach with us again.

Holly Goody

Holly is a Fellow of the APHP and she is a childrens specialist. She runs a busy practice, and also has extensive experience working with schools and young people.

She has trained with KICH offering a working with children workshop for our students and is always welcomed warmly.
