How the Course is Structured?
This comprehensive psychosexual training is a specialist diploma course, originally taught at the Essex Institute and written by Terence Watts who was awarded a MCGI for this work.
The course will teach you to work efficiently and with understanding and confidence around those individuals seeking help with psychosexual difficulty.
As stated above the course will be offered online, and the 6 seminars will be delivered by experienced tutors and practitioners June Hale & Georgina McKinnon.
There will be homework and a multi choice open book examination to complete at home at the end.
Why do this training?
This is the training June Hale and I did 12 or 13 years ago at the Essex Institute. We have both worked with this and are now delighted to be given the opportunity to teach it to more practitioners. Therapists who can then offer this valuable, often life changing work.
People who are experiencing difficulty around sex, often find it almost impossible to get the help they need, frankly there are not enough specialist practitioners trained to help them. One of the commonest things clients tell us is the relief they feel at finally finding the therapy they need. It is lonely to have no one to talk to. It is also the case that often when people present to us with anxiety and other issues on investigation some are suffering with sexual issues that need to be recognised and addressed. There is a definite need for more trained psychosexual practitioners and this is a great therapy to offer, it is a valuable and satisfying area to work in.
