Hypnotherapy is considered one of the psychotherapeutic talking therapies. Talking therapy includes among others psychotherapy or counselling, CBT and NLP.
Talking therapy is a broad term, it encompasses various approaches to treating mental health issues and emotional difficulties, through conversation and dialogue.
Each therapy style including hypnotherapy has unique elements, techniques, and therapeutic methods. It is crucial to find the best way of working to suit the individuals needs and preferences, therapy should never be about one size fits all.
In our training at KICH we offer students many different ways of working with hypnotic techniques and psychotherapy, this is incorporated into the practical work they do. Our training offers elements of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), cognitive hypnotherapy, socratic questioning, cognitive restructuring, relaxation and visualisation exercises, self-hypnosis, counselling, personality profiling, psychodynamic therapies exploring unconscious thoughts, feelings, and conflicts rooted in early childhood experiences, and includes free association, regression and transference.
Specialist trainers visit the school and offer at least three full days of expert training in areas like Emotional Freedom Technique, Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy & Working with children and young people. We believe a thorough and varied approach is vital for successful practitioners.
